ADMIN ROOF PROJECT
Worcester County Sheriff’s Office 5 Paul X. Tivnan Drive West Boylston. MA 01583 is seeking bids for a project that includes all labor, materials, equipment, and temporary protection as necessary to complete the work stated below.
The project work consists of a reroofing of the existing Administration Building (Building #7) at the Worcester County Jail and House of Correction. The existing roofing is composed of EPDM over ½” gypsum or polyisocyanurate. The existing system shall be removed. Remove rubber and metal flashings. Maintain existing gutters. Provide a new fully adhered EPDM over ½” high-density polyiso cover board, polyisocyanurate insulation, ¼” gypsum board, and a self-adhered rubberized vapor retarder. Replace plywood roof deck if found to be deteriorated on unit price basis.
Provide additional safety rails where called for. Provide safety rail mounted to the existing roof hatch. Paint the existing roof hatch. Straighten leaning plumbing vents. At EIFS walls between the two roof levels, cut and reseal control joints. Refer to specification sections for detailed requirements.
The contractor shall obtain, at his own expense all permits required by governing authorities. The contractor must be DCAMM certified. All tradesmen working on site must pass CORI checks.

Sealed bids, as per specifications, will be received in the Finance Department at the Worcester Sheriff’s Office, 5 Paul X. Tivnan Drive, West Boylston, MA 01583, until 10:00am local time on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 and at that time publicly opened and read. The Worcester Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
A mandatory site visit will take place on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 @11:30 A.M. at the Main Jail in the Fisher Conference Room. Please email Tracy Sullivan to request to attend the site visit no later Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
