Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis is seen with representatives from Christopher Heights Assisted Living, who provided educational materials at the Sheriff’s Summer Celebration & Educational Symposium held at CareOne at Millbury. 

The Worcester County Reserve Deputy Sheriff’s Association held its Sheriff’s Senior Summer Celebration & Education Symposium at CareOne at Millbury on June 14 to a packed house.The free event included presentations on “Hearing Loss and Dementia” by Dr. Keith Darrow, “Aging Lungs & Diseases” by Dr. Payam Aghassi, as well as a “Fighting Fraud” talk given by Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis.

In addition to the educational speakers, the event also featured public safety and wellness tips, Bingo, raffles and a BBQ lunch.  “Our free educational symposium provides important public safety and wellness tips for our senior community. We are thrilled to have such a wonderful turnout for our Summer Celebration here at CareOne and want to thank our great host as well as all of our distinguished speakers who helped make this tremendous event possible,” Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis said.
