“This was a great opportunity for the District Attorney’s office, Sheriff’s office and Council on Aging directors to provide programs and information to the senior citizens of Worcester County,” said Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. “In these hard economic times, partnerships like this are necessary.”
“As Sheriff, keeping our senior citizens safe is one of my highest priorities and I am thrilled to be partnering with District Attorney Early to effectively provide programs and information that serve as a great public safety resource for them.” Evangelidis continued, “Today’s meeting emphasizes the strong commitment we both share in protecting the senior citizens of Worcester County.”
The educational forum hosted by Sheriff Evangelidis and District Attorney Early on senior safety was so well received, it will now become an annual event cosponsored by the two law enforcement officials.
