Community Outreach

Public safety and community outreach initiatives focus on protecting and empowering our youth, family, and senior populations.

The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office is proud to serve as a public safety resource to help make our community a safer place.

FACE2FACE

The Face2Face Program, created by Sheriff Evangelidis, is the only initiative of its kind in the country. With almost 90% of today’s inmates incarcerated due to mental health and addiction issues, Sheriff Evangelidis has made educating our youth and promoting awareness of these topics his mission.

The Face2Face Program not only addresses current drug trends on a local and national level but utilizes a cutting-edge approach to illustrate the destructive effects that drugs, alcohol and poor mental health take on a student’s appearance and physical health over time. To date, hundreds of schools and over 400,000 students throughout the region have participated in this program.

YOUTH & COMMUNITY TOURS

The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office offers tours of the West Boylston facility as an educational tool to educational, youth, non-profit, and interest groups. Tours can be modified to accommodate groups of students that may be interested in the criminal justice field. The WCSO tour coordinator will work with facilitators to set up a tour that will fit their needs.
