HOT WATER DISTRIBUTION PIPING REPLACEMENT

WCSO-2024-0004
Sealed bids for a public works project consisting of the removal and replacement of the heating and domestic hot water supply and return system piping from the Main Jail School Building to the Mini 5 Building and from the Mini 5 Building to the Work Release Building. This system shall extend and connect to the heating and domestic hot water mains inside of each building. Removal and replacement of the heating and domestic hot water supply and return system piping located in the tunnel of the Mini 5 Building. The work will include all operations necessary to deliver the building(s) and ancillary on and off-site amenities in a fully installed and operable condition including all utility and site work and obtaining all necessary licenses, permits, and certificates. Where utilities exist within and adjacent to the building(s) and ancillary parking lots, and are known by the Owner, they have been shown on the site plan(s) appearing in, but not restricted to, the exhibits. The project shall be designed and constructed so as to meet all requirements of the contract documents, including, but not limited to, the plans and specifications for WCSO-2024-0004 Hot Water Distribution Piping Replacement.
Bid packages will be available on COMMBUYS or by emailing Tracy Sullivan at tsullivan@sdw.state.ma.us . Sealed bids, as per specifications, will be received in the Finance Department at the Worcester Sheriff’s Office, 5 Paul X. Tivnan Drive, West Boylston, MA 01583, until 10:00am local time on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 and at that time publicly opened and read. The Worcester Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
A mandatory site visit will take place on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 @11:30 A.M. at the Main Jail in the Fisher Conference Room. Please email Tracy Sullivan to request to attend the site visit no later than Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
The contractor shall obtain, at his own expense all permits required by governing authorities. The contractor must be DCAMM certified.
