Sheriff Glodis Receives Prestigious American Legion Award

West Boylston - In recognition of his longstanding commitment to local veterans, Worcester County Sheriff Guy Glodis was recently awarded the Massachusetts American Legion’s annual “Community Service Award”, presented by Mr. Jim Army and other state commanders at the Vernon Hill American Legion Post in Worcester in front of over 200 attendees.

Sheriff Glodis Launches New Partnership with Army Reserve
West Boylston -   Worcester County Sheriff Guy Glodis was proud today to welcome highly-decorated Brigadier General John Cornelius from New York for the official signing of a new Employer Partnership Initiative between the Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Army Reserve.  The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office is the first law enforcement agency in New England to implement this new program, aimed at recruiting and retaining Army Reservists for employment at the Sheriff’s Office.

Wind Turbine Program Begins at Jail

West Boylston - Intent on reducing energy costs while also supporting renewable energy, Worcester County Sheriff Guy Glodis today announced the first step in the process to install wind turbines on the grounds of the Worcester County Jail and House of Correction in West Boylston.

Sheriff's Office Collects Over 4,000 lbs. of Food During Drive

Worcester - In a joint effort between the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, the Worcester Sharks, WTAG and Friendly House, volunteers with the Sheriff's Office participated in a food collection effort at the Price Chopper on Cambridge Street in Worcester, part of a month-long food drive to benefit the Friendly House.
